No more school, no more books . . . well, kinda.

Yesterday was the last day of school!! I still have finals to take next week, but to be honest this next week will be far less stressful. Next week I can take my finals any time and in any order I want. Part of me wants to take all four of my finals Monday. Then I wold have Tuesday until the following Tuesday off before we head out to Washington for Christmas. The other part of me says to take it easy do a final a day and spend lots of time preparing for them all. Right now the part to take all my finals Monday is winning.

These past few weeks have been crazy and I've had tons of projects that require a lot of my time. With that, on top of my other responsibilities, Courtney is probably excited to see more of me now that classes are over.

Courtney is doing well. Sadly, she works all the way up to the 22nd of December. It would be nice for her to be done earlier so we could head to Washington earlier but at least we'll be home for Christmas. I'm excited to go home and see family and friends. While I'm home I will celebrate my 26th birthday. Crazy! It doesn't fee like I graduated high school over seven years ago. In little over a year from now I could have a career and a kid. Who knows. I wonder if I'll always feel younger than I am. Anyways, that's enough for now. Till next time.

12 and Counting! Welcome to Efram Moroni Kaouk!

If it wasn't obvious by the title. Then I'll spell it out. Trisha and Moroni had their little boy Wednesday November 4th  about 2:30pm. I think he was 8 lbs 9 oz. and about 21" in length.Courtney and I were able to go and see Trisha and Efram at the hospital Wednesday evening. He is so adorable. That makes the 12th to my total of nieces and nephews. Pretty exciting. Trisha said that all went well and she is glad to have this over with. She is not sure, however, what it'll be like to have a baby and two other little ones as well.  I think having Moroni home and with Mom and Dad coming into town in less than two weeks things will be ok.

I'm sorry to say it Richard, Kate and Adelle, but I think he has more hair than Adelle at one year. It might help that his hair is dark black and Adelle's is really blond. He seemed to be doing really well. Then we got an email yesterday that one of his lungs partially collapsed and that there was a hole in it. The Doctors say that this is normal and were keeping a close eye on Efram. Apparently after a day the hole was smaller. Trisha and Moroni hope to be able to bring him home when Trisha is released today.

I finally figured out how to post pictures to this!! Yay!
Isn't he adorable with his chubby little cheeks!

Man, How I Love Fall Back Daylight Savings!!!

After both Courtney and I fell ill with some sort of flu and being very busy before that, we had a very quiet Halloween this year. Last year I made our costumes. We were Woody and Jessie from "Toy Story 2" and they turned out well. I tried to post a picture here but it didn't work I guess I've got some homework to do to make it work.  I love that I can go back and edit these. As you can see, I have added the picture. Awesome costumes, huh!? These year our friends who live above us, Richard and Kate and their little girl Adelle, let us come up for dinner and we watched movies. They are also getting over being sick. After getting sick it was a much needed nice quiet evening.

It's sad that here in this area of Provo, we don't get trick-or-treaters. But this year we did!!! Two families in our church came over with their little kids. They were cute. One was a duck and the other was Yoda. It was awesome.

Nothing super exciting. Hopefully I convinced Courtney into writing a post today. We shall see. Until next time. Have a wonderful week.

Found a way to a lazy weekend . . .

I'm doing a little better in blogging. It has only been a a little over a  month since our last post. Hopefully, it'll ge to the point where we are posting at least once a week. Someday I'll get Courtney to post something. Anyways, back the idea behind the title.

I found the secret. The only problem is that it isn't as exciting as it might sound. Courtney is sick!! Maybe with swine flu. We're not sure. She has a lot of the symptoms. So yes we got to have a very lazy weekend. but it isn't very fun. she is sick and I'm trying to take care of her. We hope it goes away quickly.

This past week has been a busy one. I've been trying to tackle projects in programming as well as midterms in other classes on top of "milestones"(checkpoints) for other semester projects. When I have free time it is spent with Courtney relaxing or with church responsibilities.

Courtney just finished teaching her first term this school year and with it came the grading of all of the last minute late work, tests, and quizzes being turned in. Grading this and entering it required the work of Courtney and myself as well as our good friends, the Mackays, who live above us. Getting sick was a wonderful way to top it all off. We hope she kicks the illness soon, because missing school would make her life more crazy with work. We are praying and keeping our fingers crossed that she does.

I keep saying this, but eventually we'll post some photos and a little info about our recent trip this past summer. Until then, have a great week and thanks for reading.

Has it been that long??

Funny, it was over a year ago that we last posted on our blog. It seems life is too busy and we have given our blog a lower priority than I thought it would have than when I first posted June of last year.

Huge things that have happened since out last post. Courtney not only got a full contract to teach at Mountain Ridge Junior High in Pleasant grove area here in Uath but she also was asked to be head of the Math Department!!! Crazy! little did she know how much work it would all be. This year she turned down being head of the department and is excited to have her friend Alicia teaching next door to her, making her life so much easier.

August of last year Courtney and I brought back some furniture from our Washington trip vand were able to move into a two bedroom apartment close to campus that is bigger and costs less than our last one bedroom apartment.

Courtney and I heard that there was a need to serve as volunteers in the Provo Temple and felt we should serve. January of this year we started and have loved spending our Saturday evenings there in Service to others. It has been an experience that truly blesses our lives week in and week out. Especially, since both her and I were called to serve as the Relief Society President and Elders'Quorum President in our Ward. Now our lives seem to be pretty full in balancing school work and service in our Church.

I had planned to go into the Accounting program here at BYU. It is one fo the best programs in the nation. Taking my last required class in order to apply, I realized that I wanted to go another direction, into Information Systems (I Sys). Little did I know that I'd have to wait another year just to apply. I applied beginning of this year and received a phone call in the middle of our big road trip saying I had been accepted. I'm now in the program and loving the fact that I had an excuse to buy a new computer and would be able to study things I enjoy, but am struggling with the work load that I'm given. We shall see how thigns progress as I go.

Our really good friends Rachel and Cory Stuart just had their first baby Tommy Robin Stuart. he is adorable and has brought a great spirit into their home. Our other really good friends Richard and Kate and Adelle Mackay moved into the apartment upsatirs and we love that we can visit them anytime or have excuses to babysit their liddle one Adelle.

We also took a one last harrah trip this past summer, but I'll save that for another post. Let's just say is was a wonderful trip that was well worth the time and money spent. We were able to see a lot of church history sites, friends and family.

Hopefully Court and I will do better at posting to our blog and share those things that are going on in our lives.
