First Tooth!

Well, it is finally here!  Jackson has his first tooth!  Tuesday, we noticed his gums were swollen and red, and then saw the little white line of his tooth.  Wednesday we could feel and see the ridges of his tooth starting to pop through, and yesterday it finally broke through!!  Poor guy has also had his first cold the last week and a half, so it has been a little bit of a cranky couple of weeks in the Ward house, but I'm sure it could have been worse.

After multiple tries, I finally got this picture of his little white tooth popping through yesterday (and of course the sweet drool that always pouring out of his mouth)!

By the way ... pretty sure I saw the white line of tooth #2 this morning, which would explain the VERY cranky morning we have had ;)

Jackson's 6 month stats

So, the whole point in waiting to do Jackson's 6 month blog post (and then subsequently procrastinating it even more) was to wait for his 6 month check up last week to get his stats.  And of course, what did I forget in the post ... his stats!  Here's our little man at 6 months:

Weight: 15lbs 6 oz (11th %tile)
Height: 27.5 inches (82nd %tile)
Head: 43 cm (36 %tile)

Even taller and even skinnier than before!  He's a happy, smiley baby and we love him :)  And here's one more picture, because really, who can get enough?

6 months!

So, this post is almost two weeks late ... we have had a crazy couple of weeks!  But, our little man has turned 6 months old!!!  I can't believe half a year has already gone by.  Jackson is getting so big and so fun to play with.  We celebrated his 6 month birthday by having our friends the Stuarts over for cake (even though Mr. Jackson couldn't have any ;) )

At 6 months, Jackson ...
- sleeps through most nights (9-10 hours) and usually takes 2 pretty good naps (morning and afternoon) as well as a short evening nap

- does a really good job eating his baby food!  He has finally decided that he likes his rice cereal, and he has tried bananas, applesauce, pears, peaches, avocado, carrots, peas, green beans, sweet potatoes, squash, dried mango (and a little bit of mango sorbet ;) ).  We've done some jar food and some homemade food, and he typically prefers homemade veggies to jar veggies.  So far his favorite is homemade bananas!

- grabs everything and puts it in his mouth!  He LOVES to chew on fabrics; burp cloths, clothes, blankets, washcloths, towels, you name it and it is in his mouth!

- loves to smile and giggle!  He is very quick to laugh and loves to be played with.  By the way, if you haven't seen our last blog post with the videos of Jackson laughing, you definitely should look!

- loves to be in the water!  Bath times have gotten very wet, and everything in the general vicinity of his tub must be moved.  He also loves the pool.  We've taken him to our city pool a few times and he has a blast.

- rolls and wiggles everywhere!  He finally rolled from his back to tummy, but doesn't like being on his tummy so he always rolls straight back.

Here are some fun pictures of our little man from this last month!
