Back to School

It is that time again. You know, when all time for fun and games comes to an end. School is back and it slowly sucks the life out of you with all of its assignments and late nights. Students yearn for those three day weekends, or any other break,so they can get away for some relaxation and fun.

Ok, it isn't that bad. My first week back is over. To be honest it will be a challenging semester. This will be the first time that I'm working and going to school. You are probably saying right now, "I have always had to work and go to school!" I'm deeply in awe of you who do this. It is not easy to put 50+ hours into school and then work on top of that. Then add family and church responsibilities and pretty soon you are cutting out meals and time to sleep.

I'm reminded of William Madison's words:
Back to school. Back to school. To prove to Daddy I'm not a fool. I've got my lunch pack packed, and my shoes tied tight. I hope I don't get in a fight.
I just had to do it. I hope you'll forgive my childishness.

I do have one class right now that I love. It is Business Ethics. It is 3 hours straight each Friday. You'd think that is way too long to be focused in class; however, this class is mostly discussion and quite interesting. I enjoy the discussion and am learning just because something feels unethical doesn't mean it is unethical. We are being taught how to analyze things in order to know whether or not they are ethical. Kind of random, but I enjoy it.

Things are good. As soon as I settle into a habit with school things will hopefully calm down and be a lot smoother.

Interesting thought. By November of this year I need to apply for Graduation for April 2011!!!! Crazy huh! I don't know if I'll still be in school this time next year studying for my Master's Degree. But one thing is sure, come April 2011, I will have a B.S. in Information Systems!!! Awesome!! Thanks to my wonderful wife, Courtney, my Mom and Dad and to everyone else who helped me get here!! I love you!
